1.   Andaz Apna Apna (1994)

Two slackers- Amar and Prem, compete with each other to win the heart of a rich heiress and in turn end up protecting her from crimes. This film was released 26 years ago, but it is still considered a cult classic and is packed with laughter-inducing scenes and hilarious dialogues. This wacky comedy is exactly what you need to watch if you are looking for a good laugh.

2.   Chup Chup ke (2006)

Cast: Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Sunil Shetty, Rajpal Yadav, Om Puri

Mistaking a broke, small-town hustler for a millionaire, two bumbling fishermen hatch a scheme to use him to help pay off their debts. This film is a treat to watch as it stars some of the finest actors and consists of many unbelievably hilarious scenes.

Three struggling flatmates accidently get themselves involved in a ruthless gangster’s shady business and find themselves becoming his target. This movie is a perfect combination of wit and action. With its adult comedy and dark humor, it is guaranteed to leave you in fits.

4.   3 idiots (2009)

Cast: Aamir Khan, Sharman Joshi, R. Madhavan, Kareena Kapoor, Boman Irani

Two best friends recall their college days and how they struggled to beat the education system, while on a hunt for the third ‘idiot’ who has been MIA ever since college got over. This was one of the highest grossing films of its time and is still considered a comedic masterpiece. If you haven’t watched it yet, then you are definitely missing out on a lot.

5.   Munna Bhai M.B.B.S (2003)

Cast: Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Varsi, Boman Irani, Sunil Dutt

Munna Bhai is a gangster who pretends to be a bona fide doctor in front of his family. In an attempt to keep his secret, he takes a medical college by storm when his parents come to visit him in town. This movie was one of the biggest hits of its time. Many dialogues from this film are still commonly used by millennials. Munna Bhai and Circuit are two of the most loved characters in the history of Indian cinema. This movie also has a sequel called Lage Raho Munna bhai which is just as funny and iconic as the first one.

6.   Dhamaal (2007)

Director: Indra Kumar

Cast: Sanjay dutt, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Javed Jaffrey

Four poverty-stricken friends get tipped off about buried money in Goa, and set off on a journey to get their hands on it, while being pursued by a police officer who wants to have all the treasure for himself. Dhamaal is one of the most iconic comedy films of all times. Every character in this film is hilarious. You must really be living under a rock, or should i say a ‘W’, if you haven’t watched this one yet.

7. Golmaal- fun unlimited (2006)

Director: Rohit Shetty

Cast: Ajay Devgan, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor 

Four friends use fake identities to bamboozle their way into a blind couple’s bungalow, and all hell breaks loose. Golmaal is a brilliant film that will have you in hysterics with its amusing characters and witty comedy.
