Ajay Devgn to make film about Galwan Valley incident, fans ask ‘Where is Akshay Kumar?’

A few hours back, Bollywood actor and producer Ajay Devgn announced that he will be producing a film based on the attack on Indian soldiers by chinese troops in Ladakh’s Galwan Valley. The Untitled film will be produced by Ajay Devgn FFilms and Select Media Holdings LLP. The movie will be honouring the sacrifice of 20 Indian Army soldiers who died in the India-China Galwan face-off. It is not yet confirmed if Devgn will act in the movie. The cast and other crew are under finalisation. 

Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh announced the film on social media. “IT’S OFFICIAL.. #AjayDevgn to make film on #GalwanValley clash..the film -not titled yet- will narrate the story of sacrifice of 20 #Indian army men, who fought the #Chinese army… Cast not finalized… Ajay Devgn FFilms and Select Media Holdings LLP will produce the film,” he wrote on Twitter. 

Apart from this, Ajay Devgn has two other films coming up. His film, Bhuj: The Pride of India, will be released soon on Disney Plus Hotstar. His other film, Maidaan, got delayed due to lockdown, and will be releasing on Independence Day next year. 

Soon after this announcement, netizens started trolling Akshay Kumar, saying that he lost the opportunity to star in this patriotic film. Akshay Kumar is known for doing Patriotic films. In the last five years, he has starred in many patriotic films like Gold, Rustom, Baby, Airlift, Mission Mangal and many others. After it was announced that Ajay Devgn will be the one making this film, netizens were quick to start the meme fest, calling out Akshay Kumar for missing the opportunity.
