Dilip Joshi exited to reunite with ‘Gokuldham Family’ as shoot resumes after 3 months

As coronavirus grew in India and the government declared a nationwide lockdown, it put a halt on the shooting of television serials and movies. For 3 months, channels were telecasting old episodes on television. But now that the lockdown has eased, many makers have decided to begin shooting once again. Most of the TV shoots started min-june. The latest television show to resume shooting amid this pandemic is the most beloved comedy show on Indian television- Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah

One of the main actors, Dilip Joshi, Who plays the role of Jethalal on the show, revealed the news on twitter. He seemed excited to finally be back on set and reunite with his co-workers and other crew members. Sharing his excitement on twitter, he wrote, “Exactly after 116 days… Today..I resumed shooting for TMKOC… So..so..Happy to see the cast n crew..My..one n only “Gokuldham Family”… So get ready Friends for a fresh dose of TMKOC.” 

He also revealed that the show’s producer, Asit Modi, is taking utmost care of everyone. He also asked his fans to pray for the team, so that they can entertain us in these trying times while staying safe from the pandemic. He wrote, “Our Producer Asitbhai has taken utmost care for the whole team… but still .. I request you All to please pray for US, that we all stay safe in these trying times… and nothing can deter us from entertaining You All.” 

Previously, director of the show Malav Rajda had shared a few images from the sets and informed the fans that they have started with the shoot.

Later, Asit Modi also spoke about being nervous as shooting resumed. In a statement he said, “As on the 10th of July, 2020 Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has officially resumed its shooting for the show. And very soon we will be amidst you on your TV screens. Please do pray for us, the entire team’s well-being as you have for the past so many years and we too pray for your health and happiness. We have mustered a lot of courage and returned to the sets, keeping in mind that we have to follow the social distancing norms, wear protective gear and adhere to all the guidelines as advised by the Government.”
