Sushant Singh Rajput’s death has started many conspiracy theories on the Internet. Some people are typing up Sushant’s death by suicide to his former manager, Disha Salian’s death. Disha died on June 9 by falling from the 14th floor of a Malad building. While many people believed that she died by suicide, the police investigation revealed that she might have fallen-off accidently as she was in an intoxicated state at the time of her death.

Disha was Sushant’s ex-manager. They both had worked together for many projects. Thus, people on the internet are trying to form a connection between their deaths. Last week, some rumors even linked Sooraj Pancholi with the death of Disha. The rumor claimed that Disha was pregnant with the actor’s child which was one of the reasons that led to her death and subsequently Sushant’s death the following week. However, Sooraj told Beyond Bollywood in an interview, “I don’t even know Disha. I never met her in my life. I only knew about her after her death, and later Sushant’s death, that too through social media.”

Amidst these conspiracy theories surrounding Disha’s death, her family has issued a statement, asking people not to spread unnecessary rumors and to ‘let her rest in peace’.

“We lost someone we loved. The loss is too deep and grave to be processed. It’s a difficult situation for us as we are still trying to come to terms with her demise. But at the same time, what’s more upsetting are the several unncessary rumors, conspiracy theories and speculations that are not just fake but are also hampering the well-being of her parents and closed ones.”

They went on to say, “Kindly help us heal by not encouraging, entertaining or spreading the fake rumours and news circulating around on social media by people who clearly have turned insensitive and are trying to take advantage of someone’s death for their own vested interests.”

They ended the note by writing, “Empathy is the basic quality that makes us human. So lets be human first. Please let her rest in peace and let’s spread kindness.”
