Rajiv Kapoor was an Indian actor, producer, director and member of the Kapoor family, passes away on Tuesday, February 9. Rajiv Kapoor was 58 years old, he suffered massive cardiac arrest. Randhir Kapoor rushed him to Inlaks hospital, near their residence in Chembur. Where doctor declared him dead on arrival.
Randhir confirmed the sad and shocking news, saying, “I have lost my youngest brother, Rajiv. He is no more. The doctors tried their best but could not save him.” He added, “I am at the hospital, waiting for his body.”
Rajiv Kapoor, who made his debut in Bollywood with the 1983 film Ek Jaan Hain Hum, was best known for the 1985 blockbuster Ram Teri Ganga Maili. He was last seen in Zimmedaar. He also acted in films like Mera Saathi and Hum To Chale Pardes , among others. The actor, known by the nickname “Chimpu”, turned a film producer with the 1991 film Henna starring Rishi Kapoor. He also backed other home productions like Prem Granth and Aa Ab Laut Chalen.
