Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely death has led to a major nepotism debate on social media. Many star-kinds like Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha, and Sonam Kapoor have become subject to major online trolling and harassment. People are filling up their comment section with hateful comments and abuses. They are even threatening to boycott their movies. All of them have lost thousands of followers on Instagram and Twitter. Filmmaker Karan Johar, who is considered the flag bearer of nepotism in Bollywood, has also come under fire. However, the most recent bollywood celebrity to become a victim of trolling is none other than Saif Ali Khan. He recently made a statement that has started a meme fest on social media.

In a recent interview, Saif shared his thoughts on the ongoing debate about nepotism. Without mentioning any names, he revealed that he has also been a ‘victim of nepotism’, alleging that someone’s father had called up a filmmaker to tell him not to cast him. “There is inequality in India that needs to be explored. Nepotism, favoritism and camps are different subjects. Even I have been a victim of nepotism but nobody speaks of that. I’m happy to see more people from film institutes come to the forefront,” Saif told The New Indian Express.

However, his statement was not received well by the public. Saif is the son of late cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi and veteran actress Sharmila Tagore. Netizens couldn’t digest Saif calling himself a ‘victim of nepotism’. Thus, many people started trolling Saif. They shared their amusement and shock through memes on social media.
