TV actor Parth Samthaan was tested positive for Covid-19 on Sunday, July 12. He had recently resumed shooting for his television show Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2. The entire television industry was shocked to hear the news of Parth Samthaan testing positive for coronavirus, as many other shows have also resumed shooting amid the pandemic. After the news broke out that Parth Samthaan tested positive, the entire production crew put a halt on the shoot. His co-stars and other crew members have been asked to get quarantined and take precautions. Karan Patel, who plays the role of Rishabh Bajaj in Kasautii, will also get tested for coronavirus along with his immediate family.

In a statement given to Pinkvilla, Karan’s publicist said, “Karan has not been shooting since the last few days but because he is a responsible citizen and feels safety comes first he is getting a swab test done on personal accord for the safety of all around him.”

“This is a precautionary measure he is taking to provide peace to all who are concerned for his safety and his immediate family members towards whom he is responsible. Please be rest assured he is fine and there is nothing to worry about. Please do not panic this too shall pass,” the statement added.

As a result of all this, the shooting of 3 more shows has been stopped temporarily. These shows are- Kumkum Bhagya, Kundali Bhagya and Pavitra Bhagya. The shooting of these three shows took place in the same studio as Kasautii Zindagii Kay. The shoot has been stopped till further notice.

According to the Times of India, a source close to the sets of Kumkum Bhagya informed, “We packed up early today, just before the lunch break was announced. However, it was only after we reached home that we learnt about Parth testing positive for COVID-19.”

On Sunday, Parth shared on Instagram that he was diagnosed with the coronavirus and had ‘mild symptoms’. “Hi everyone , I have been tested Positive for covid 19. Although I have mild symptoms. I would urge and request everyone who’s been with me in close proximity over the last few days please go and get yourself tested . The Bmc has regularly been in touch and with the doctor’s guidance I am in self quarantine and I am grateful to them for all their support . Please be safe and take care,” his post read.
